Management in the Washington D.C. area:

  • Regional Director in charge of supercomputer system support for commercial and government systems located within the eastern U.S. and Canada.
  • Created East Coast Division Computer System Engineering Support Center that included administration, training, and logistics support facility.
  • As department manager and as division engineering support manager, I had responsibility for hiring, firing, developing and managing Field Engineering and Engineering Support staff personnel.
  • As the eastern Division Operations manager I reviewed daily key account system status and coordinated resources for quick problem resolution for such uptime critical accounts as NYSE, NASDAQ and the U.S. Treasury electronic transfer system.
  • Developed department budgets and had overall P & L responsibilities.

Sales and Marketing in the Washington D. C. area:

  • Reviewed, analyzed and responded to computer system hardware and support Request for Proposals (RFP).
  • Computer systems support plan sales presentations to new and existing customers.
  • Administered government equipment sales and training orders through existing open-ended GSA contracts

Project Management in the Washington D.C. area

  • Wrote and or approved contractual language with ongoing project office coordination of U.S. Navy computer systems programs (multi-national and multi-year).
  • Conducted on-site computer systems support team orientation of contractual duties and liabilities.
  • Audited computer room facilities and specified pre-installation computer facility modifications.
  • Planned and coordinated major system upgrades, expansions and relocations to ensure system operation and availability.

Design Engineering and Technical Support Engineering in the San Jose, CA and Boston, MA areas:

  • Designed and debugged computer and communication system prototypes.
  • Conducted computer system design improvement analysis to enhance the ability to diagnose and repair computer system failures.
  • As a Regional and International Technical Support Engineer, I assisted field engineers with the diagnosis of computer system and communication network failures online or onsite worldwide.
